Do you want to save the beautiful lemon-scented gum at 20 Dudley Street at North Plympton? It’s home to our local songbirds and provides shade, cooling and a gorgeous view.

It’s going to be cut down any day now for a driveway. But you can help. To take a stand - just print this letter and email it to the land owner appealing directly to him to reconsider his decision.

North Plympton residents protest against the destruction of the healthy 80 year old Lemon-scented gum at 20 Dudley Street.

Morphettville Racecourse has released its latest plans for a housing, hotel and entertainment redevelopment. I understand that Badcoe residents, particularly in Plympton Park have questions and concerns. Let me know what you think or ask your questions here.

At the community meeting I called to discuss this development, I committed to writing series of letters to decision-makers on behalf of our community. You can read the letters I wrote below.

The state government is discussing the future of the iconic Keswick Barracks site with the federal government. There are no development plans at this stage and the site remains in the hands of the Department of Defence.

I want to hear what you think about the potential future for this much-loved landmark. Your views will form part of my ongoing work to advocate the interests of our community.

CAMPAIGN UPDATE: We’ve made major progress thanks to you! Public consultation on the Code Amendment to reduce heights along Anzac Highway closes on Thursday 16 March. have your say here: https://yoursay.westtorrens.sa.gov.au/gcap-code-amendment

On 1 July, the Liberal Government suddenly increased maximum building heights on Anzac Highway between South Road and Beckman Street - bordering the Glandore Character Zone.

This decision came despite the community securing a three-storey limit in the Design Code which came into force in March 2021. There was no consultation about the sudden increase to eight storeys.

CAMPAIGN UPDATE: Public submissions have now closed and the release of the Planning System Implementation Review report is expected in mid 2023.

The Labor state government is delivering on our election promise to review planning laws. The Planning System Implementation Review is examining infill policy, trees and green space, character and heritage protection, car parking and traffic, as well as the e-planning system and website.

The formal consultation period has closed, but I am still interested in your views. Have your say with this simple survey!

Have you got questions about South Road? Let your local MP do the hard work and get a response for you! Enter your questions and comments here and Jayne will follow it up and get back to you personally.

CAMPAIGN UPDATE: WE WON! The South Road Design was updated in December 2022 and the right turn has been reinstated.

The Marshall Liberal government was planning to stop right turns from Anzac Highway onto South Road (from both the City and Bay directions) at the Gallipoli Overpass. This would have severely impacted the way so many of us get around our neighbourhood.

This survey is an opportunity for you to tell me what's important to you and what you'd like to change in our neighbourhood or state. And I'll give you a call to discuss your feedback if you like!
