NEWS: Badcoe Volunteer Award launched

National Volunteer Week is celebrated from 18 - 24 May and is an ideal opportunity to recognise the volunteers who make Badcoe a wonderful place to live.

I know how much our local clubs, schools, community groups and neighborhood organisations rely on the generosity of volunteers. Their dedication helps make SA stronger, kinder and better connected.

That’s why I’ve started the new Badcoe Volunteer Award to help celebrate those contributions.

If you know an outstanding volunteer living or volunteering in Badcoe, please nominate them by Sunday 31 May 2026 using the form below. You can also nominate yourself!

Please share some information about the volunteer's contribution as part of your nomination. For example any organisations they assist, the type of roles they are doing or examples of people who’ve benefitted from their help.

The nominee must:

  • Live in Badcoe OR volunteer in a way that assist residents of Badcoe

  • Must not complete the nominated activities as part of paid employment.

There is no minimum of maximum age qualification; Nominees do not need to be a part of a formal charity or organisation; Volunteering contributions can be regular or occasional; There is no minimum length of service to nominate a volunteer.

An award presentation will be held at Parliament House for the successful nominees.

No additional documentation is needed but if you wish to send extra material please email badcoe@parliament.sa.gov.au with the email title ‘Badcoe Volunteer Award’ before the due date.
