I wrote to the Transport Minister on 7th May 2021 to get clarity on whether Glandore Oval might be compulsorily acquired as part of the South Road upgrade - just as I promised locals.
I've now finally got a response.
Unfortunately, the Minister is refusing to say if Glandore Oval is in the firing line.
Makes it hard to assess the decision by the council to remove the Ian Stoeckel Memorial Rose Gardens and spend hundreds of thousands of ratepayers dollars on the land abutting South Road.

It’s also worth noting that in this letter Mr Wingard seems to forget that he told all of us (and media including ABC TV on 11 Nov 2020) that the reference design would be complete by mid 2021 - that's right now!
